Her recent role as Lead Climate Policy Advisor at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) from 2017 to 2023 allowed her to lead transformative initiatives that connected solar and wind infrastructure projects with low-income economies. She continues to serve as a consultant to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), advising on adaptation and carbon market strategies.

Respected for her collaborative leadership, Dr. Al-Harthi frequently speaks at COP summits, World Energy Week, and World Bank forums.
