  • Dr. Amelia Huang is a trailblazing quantum physicist and futurist who has significantly contributed to the advancement of quantum computing and photonics research. With a career spanning over two decades, Dr. Huang has positioned herself at the nexus of theoretical physics, practical quantum applications, and ethical technology development.

Born in Taipei, Taiwan, she completed her Ph.D. in Quantum Mechanics at ETH Zurich before joining the Max Planck Institute for Quantum Optics, where she led research on entangled photonic circuits. Her breakthrough publication on scalable qubit interactions became a cornerstone in modern quantum computing infrastructure.

From 2016 to 2022, Dr. Huang served as Chief Research Scientist at IBM Quantum Labs in Zurich. There, she developed hybrid models integrating AI-enhanced simulation with superconducting quantum hardware, accelerating research cycles and improving quantum error correction. Her leadership earned her recognition in MIT Technology Review’s “Top 35 Innovators Under 35” list.

Since 2023, Dr. Huang has founded QLight Systems, a startup pioneering quantum-inspired computing hardware for pharmaceutical and energy modeling. She also lectures at Imperial College London and advises international agencies on responsible AI-quantum integration.
