Dr. Charles Safran is a leading figure in biomedical informatics, particularly recognized for his contributions to electronic health records (EHRs), patient engagement, and healthcare IT policy. With a background in internal medicine and clinical informatics, Dr. Safran has spent much of his career at the intersection of clinical practice and health data systems.
He is a Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Chief of the Division of Clinical Informatics at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
