Mr. Thomas “Tom” Gallagher

Mr. Tom Gallagher is a globally respected cybersecurity expert and former intelligence officer with over 25 years of experience in digital risk mitigation, cyber warfare defense, and critical infrastructure protection. His deep expertise spans both governmental and private sectors, having led cyber defense initiatives at the highest levels of national security as well as in Fortune 500 enterprises.

Tom began his career with the U.S. Air Force Cyber Command, where he served as a cyber operations analyst and later as a strategic advisor on cyber threat deterrence. During his time in government, he worked closely with the Department of Homeland Security and the National Security Agency (NSA), contributing to counter-cyberterrorism efforts and secure communication frameworks across U.S. federal agencies.

After retiring from military service, Tom transitioned to the private sector, becoming Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for a leading global logistics firm, where he developed and implemented a threat response protocol that reduced cyber incident response time by 60%.

From 2016 to 2022, Tom was a senior partner at Guardian Point Consulting, advising international banks, energy companies, and defense contractors on enterprise-wide cyber resilience and digital asset protection. He has worked on several high-profile cases involving state-sponsored cyberattacks, including industrial espionage and infrastructure sabotage.

Currently, he is the founder and CEO of SentinelNode, a cybersecurity advisory firm that specializes in protecting critical national infrastructure and high-value digital assets. SentinelNode partners with governments, NGOs, and multinational corporations on cyber-readiness, digital crisis response, and AI-enabled risk assessment.

Tom is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and he holds a Master’s in Cybersecurity Policy from Johns Hopkins University. He regularly lectures at NATO Cyber Defense College and contributes to publications like DarkReading and SC Media.
