Dr. Nia Thompson is a globally sought-after strategist, consultant, and educator dedicated to fostering inclusive, resilient, and purpose-driven organizations. With over 15 years of experience advising Fortune 500 companies, NGOs, and academic institutions, she has built a reputation for guiding transformative change at the intersection of equity, leadership, and innovation.
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Thompson earned her Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from the University of Michigan, where her research focused on systemic bias, psychological safety, and identity development in the workplace. Her professional journey began in nonprofit leadership, where she led youth empowerment initiatives across under-resourced communities in the American South.
She went on to serve as Director of Equity & Organizational Development at Catalyst Global, a social impact consultancy based in New York City. There, she led international projects supporting inclusive leadership, anti-racism training, and organizational culture transformation across sectors including finance, tech, education, and healthcare. Her approach blends data-driven assessments with deep relational work to help clients uncover hidden dynamics and create lasting change.
In 2022, Dr. Thompson launched her own practice — Elevare Strategies — where she partners with executive teams, HR leaders, and changemakers to co-create equitable systems and build cultures of belonging. She also teaches as an adjunct faculty member in the Social Innovation graduate program at Stanford University, and serves on advisory boards focused on racial equity, mental health, and corporate accountability.
She is a proud advocate for intersectional leadership, believing that justice and well-being should be embedded in the DNA of all institutions. With a style that is both compassionate and uncompromising, Dr. Thompson inspires organizations to not just talk about change — but to live it.
